Dongwoon Anatech Co., Ltd. complies with policies regarding the use of CFM (Conflict-Free Mineral Policy) products in relation to the international issue of conflict minerals regulations.
Definition of Conflict Minerals
Conflict minerals refer to the four major minerals (tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold) illegally mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries. Profits gained from trading these conflict minerals flow into rebel forces as military funds, creating a vicious cycle of civilian slaughter, forced labor, and abuses against women. Consequently, to regulate the use of conflict minerals, the U.S. Congress enacted the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in 2010, requiring U.S. listed companies to report their conflict minerals usage status to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Regarding international conflict mineral regulations, Dongwoon Anatech Co., Ltd. will comply with the following
